Knowing When to Let Go

You’ll never get what you truly deserve if you remain attached to what you’re supposed to let go of. ~ Anonymous

There is a reason and season for everything or everyone that enters into our lives. Just as they enter into our lives, there is also a time for them to go. Many times if we are in tune with our intuition we know when that time comes.  When we are not in tune with our intuition uncertainty sets into our minds. Uncertainty in understanding, “Am I making the right decision?”

We wonder, “Is it time to let go?”

Life is tricky. Tricky in the aspect of decisions, decisions, decisions. We never want to feel defeated. And, when we are face with letting go of something we may sometimes feel as if we have failed. Whether it is a business deal that has gone under or a personal relationship that has turned sour, we should never look at it as a failure. Instead, we should always look for the lesson. Learning is a part of life and unfortunately, pain is also. Rather we want to see it that way or not, there is always a lesson to be learned in every aspect of our lives.

How do you know when to let go? When the signs are there. What signs? We are all blessed with the gift of intuition. Intuition is our natural instinct and can be commonly referred to as that “deep down feeling.” All too often we ignore those feelings. We do not want to accept the reality of the situation out of fear or anxiety. Or we choose to hold on to false hope. Saying things like, “Well maybe things will change? Or if I give them one more chance?”

Ignoring our intuition can cause us to make the same mistakes over and over. Therefore, never learning the lesson. Until we get in tune with our intuition we will never be able to grasp the lesson from a situation. By sitting back and reflecting on past and present circumstances we can learn a lot if we are honest with ourselves.

It is not always easy to reflect but it is necessary. Reflection is necessary because it allows us to reconnect with our inner being. You see, our inner being is what connects us to our intuition. Intuition allows us to know when it is the right time to finally let go. Let me tell you something when we our truly connected to our intuition, we can save ourselves from a lot of unnecessary heartache and pain. While we cannot elude pain in its entirety we can lessen chances of its occurrence, by letting go.

With that, we can never avoid life uncertainties, but we can definitely learn to trust our intuition when we know that it is time to let go of something or someone. As I stated earlier, there is a reason and season for everything in our lives.
