I had been thinking about stepping into the reviewing world of
product reviews but hadn’t taken the initial steps to do some research on it. So,
when I was contacted by the company to partner with them I was overly thrilled. I had never heard of
wood watches so when I initially went to visit the Jord Wood website I didn’t know what to expect. I must
say I was very impressed when I saw all of their unique watches. I even clicked
on the men’s watch collection and was taken away at their natural wood designs. Definitely a gift worth
giving.
Their watches are made from natural wood that comes from all
over the world. Now, how awesome is that to say you have a cool watch on your wrist made of natural wood from every part of the world? I would say
that is very impressive.
I chose to review the Fieldcrest Series. It’s a Zebrawood
timepiece and the JORD website does this unique watch no justice.
OMG, when I received the watch and took it out of the box, it was gorgeous. It is
a definite conversational piece and one that is pleasing to the eye. My co-workers
loved it. I had one tell me, “I’ll buy it from you,” I said no ma’am, this is one
unique watch that will be showcased on my arm for the fall.
When I first put the watch on, I loved that it was a light
fit. It was not heavy and didn’t feel bulky on my arm. The size of the face is
perfect. It stands out just enough to be catchy to the eye. A definite wow
factor for me! I love that the face of the watch is a lighter wood color than
the bracelet of the watch. I loved how the designers intertwined the dark and
light wood into a zebra type of design. You can tell that this watch was
carefully crafted. I mean the detail of the watch is phenomenal. Definitely, a
high quality time piece.
Another factor that caught my attention is that the watch is
splash proof. I don’t believe in taking my watch off for every single thing. I can
understand the normal concerns about being non-water resistant but just for a
quick dip such as washing dishes is of no concerns. However, as with anything where
water is concerned one must be careful about moisture and how it can damage the
movement of your watch. So, we must be careful in regards to things of that
nature, if we want to enjoy this unique watch for years to come.
