Tuesday’s Tea with D ~ Techniques To Do When No One Believes In You

To be a champion, you must believe in yourself, when no one believes in you! ~ Ray Robinson

Today on Tuesday’s Tea with D we spilled the tea on pursuing your purpose and passion even when no believes in you.

The passion that burns within our mind, body and soul is for us and us only. Sure we would love for people to believe in our dreams as much as we do. Unfortunately, in life, that is not always the case.

In many cases if our minds are not strong enough to pursue our passions based on us believing in ourselves we often falter on dreams because of others and their lack of belief in us.

Today I shared things that can be done to ensure you can pursue what it is in your heart regardless if others are on board or not.

·         Remembering your “why” is very important when you are stepping out doing something new. Because of fear, one can easily falter when things become tough or not go as planned. Life happens, distractions come about that can get one off track. Having a “why” that is much larger than yourself allows you to stay focus during those times and keep going. So, remember this, make sure your “why” is strong enough to get you through those days of distraction and discouragement.

·         Being in the surroundings of people with goals is where your focus needs to be. Scope out other people seeking entrepreneurship or entrepreneurs that are already established. Like minded minds need to be around like minded individuals. Do your homework. Attend networking events. Use your voice and see where other entrepreneurs are hanging out. Get in the know!

·         Do not be hard on yourself when things do not turn out how you thought it should have. Whether a big win or small win, a win is a win and needs to be celebrated. Do it up! Take yourself out. Get a massage. Have a drink. However you decide to do what it is you do when you celebrate, do it. Celebrate your damn self and stop short changing your wins big or small.

·         Let’s talk about building your inner belief. Getting in a quiet place and working on your spirituality is a must. It allows you to be connected with your inner being. Being fully aware of your feelings and thoughts are important when stepping out on faith. Build that inner core within you and you will see all you need to do is believe in yourself to take the next step forward in whatever you set out to do in life.

These are some of the techniques I have used that have assisted me to step out and pursue what it is in my heart. I can personally say, each one does work. One thing I have come to understand and have accepted is, if one cannot and does not believe in themselves, you cannot expect them to believe in you or your dreams. And, that is alright. Realize, when you are trying to do things that others have not, it is no way possible to get them to understand what it is you are seeking nor doing.  You must learn that in life, God does not give everyone the same dreams nor talents. What he has done is given something within all of us to build on. It is up to each one of us to take our gifts and talents and build on them. Some of us will and some of us will not. Make sure you are not allowing the ones that are not, to keep you from greatness.
